Improving the quality of indoor environment enhances both our well-being and our performance. Simultaneously it helps to decrease sick leave rates and early retirement. A company cannot grow and develop without healthy, satisfied and well-motivated personnel. Indoor environment consists of the building, all of its technical systems and, above all, the tasks performed there and the actions of the users in different situations.
Service process
Indoor environment management starts with an indoor environment survey. Based on the feedback, a perception map is collected to identify and locate the problem sources in the various parts of the building and the different areas of indoor environment. A technical analysis on site helps to find the reasons for potential problems. The problems detected during the analysis are corrected within the limits of available resources.
Indoor environment quality is developed in the long run by applying a management programme based on an indoor environment survey performed on a regular basis (for instance, every three years). It helps to detect possible problems in the indoor environment in time. To attest to the continuous control of the indoor environment, the client is granted an Indoor Environment Certificate. An indoor environment group will be nominated for a building. The group will be responsible for development of the indoor environment and will also process the user feedback related to indoor environment and take care of communication.
Improve work performance and well-being is particularly useful in companies where the personnel are the most important resource. Indoor environment quality must continuously be assessed and developed. The quality of the indoor environment can be described with measurable values, but it is the indoor environment perceived by the users that ultimately determine the usability of the premises. Buildings are for people, after all.
