Senate Properties chose Halton to its air filtration supplier

Senate Properties focuses on indoor air quality and energy efficiency

Senate Properties, a company managing property assets of Finnish government, chose Halton as their nationwide air filtration supplier for years 2012 and 2013. The contract includes also an option until the year 2015. Good indoor air quality and proven energy efficiency were decisive factors for Halton’s selection.

The biggest real estate owner in Finland, Senate Properties, chose Halton as its nationwide air filtration supplier for years 2012 and 2013. Cooperation starts on February 1st 2012. The contract includes also an option for years 2014 and 2015.

- Tens of thousands of people work daily in our 11 000 facilities. As a result, wellbeing of people and energy efficiency are important focus areas for us.  In our properties, energy efficiency is not improved on the cost of indoor air quality, comments Teppo Malm, specialist in building technology at Senate Properties.

The focus of Senate Properties was seen clearly in the air filtration supplier selection. As high filtration efficiency affects indoor air quality directly, it was utilized as the single most important factor in supplier selection. In addition, Senate Properties valued energy efficiency, purchase cost and recycling of used filters in the selection.

- Halton was really strong in all sectors. Especially high filtration efficiency and outstanding energy efficiency worked out to be the most powerful selection criteria, says Tuomas Quick the Managing Director of Halton Clean Air Oy.

- As a national actor, Senate Properties had also high requirements for suppliers’ both economical and organizational status. Halton proved to be the best supplier in terms of the both factors. Halton's broad expert organization serves customers nationwide and local, flexible production in Orimattila secures high reliability as well as fast and accurate deliveries, Quick continues.

Maintenance of buildings has a great impact on indoor air quality. Halton provides training on air filtration products, good practices and trends for Senate Properties’ staff in the beginning of the cooperation.
